On the occasion of Wildlife Week, SLTP partners are organising various awareness programs for the local communities living around Tiger Reserves of central India.

The Corbett Foundation: Conducted village programs in Kanha Tiger Reserve which included talks on myths surrounding wildlife, wildlife movie screenings and nature trails for women and children.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Satpuda Foundation: Organised film shows, interactive sessions, nature trails and elocution competitions for school students in Tadoba Andhari and Pench Tiger Reserve. Through these, human wildlife conflict and the importance of wildlife and forest for our existence were explained to the students.
An awareness rally was also organized in association with gypsy drivers, guides and staff of the forest department in Tadoba to garner community support for wildlife conservation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bombay Natural History Society: Conducted exhibitions and awareness sessions in various schools of Tadoba Andhari Tiger reserve. Topics like forest resource collection, its impact, conflict and the mitigation measures were covered.
