“Cherish the natural world because you
are part of it and you depend on it”

  Sir David Attenborough

“SLTP has proved to be a critical
network in protecting the tigers
of Central India, crucially winning the
trust and support of the Government
officers and villagers alike”

Bittu Sahgal, Editor of Sanctuary Magazine

“I have heard it said in India that, ‘When tigers disappear, forests fall.’ With those tigers and forests go sources of clear water, fresh air, medicinal plants and livelihoods essential to human health.

The survival of wild tigers and all life on Earth depends on the success of landscape projects like Born’s Free’s in Satpuda.”

Judy Mills, International Tiger Coalition

“We must show respect and compassion
not only to the tiger but to all living beings
to help them survive”

George B Schaller, Vice President Panthera
Senior Scientist WCS

Working since 2005 to protect Indian tigers

Saving India’s Tigers is now the largest partnership of NGOs working on tiger conservation in India. We were established with the support of the Born Free Foundation. Our approach is unique. We are active against all the primary threats to tigers. Our focus has moved over time from protecting the core areas of tiger reserves to establishing new ways for villagers to positively co-exist alongside wildlife.
